Pineapple and Mint Frappe

Pineapple mint frappe is a cool and refreshing drink to beat the heat of summers! The best part is this drink needs only three ingredients and is absolutely healthy too. No artificial sweetners no thing is added in this drink, so it is a win win for all.

A refreshing and super delicious plus incredibly healthy pineapple and mint frappe are a must drink to try this season. The hot and humid weather in summers is something you would not enjoy, but you might be able to enjoy the summers and sun with this refreshing drink.

Frappe is normally a greek word means drinks chilled with ice. There are so many popular varities of iced coffee that are served as frappe coffee. This particular pineapple and mint frappe doesnt have milk or coffee but it is chilled with ice ha natural froth from pineapples and tatses super refreshing.

  • Pineapple: Fresh or frozen or canned pineapple pieces. If you are using fresh pineapple make sure to cut the skin properly and remove all the spikes.
  • Mint: Fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes: Add them as per your taste.

Place pineapple, mint, and ice in a blender. Blend until smooth. Strain through a sieve to remove threads and skin of the pineapple.

Pour into glasses.Top with mint sprigs. Serve chilled.

Can we use canned or frozen pineapple?

Fresh pineapple would taste the best in this frappe but if you can’t get your hands on the fresh ones you can definitely use frozen or canned ones. Drain and wash canned ones before using them. The frozen pineapple you can use directly.

Don’t we need any sweetener?

The natural sweetness of pineapple is absolutely perfect for this recipe. However, if your pineapple is not ripe enough you might want to add some sugar or honey to it.

Can we add mint extract instead of mint leaves?

Mint leaves will provide this refreshing flavor and freshness in the drink. You may use mint extract but would suggest using fresh mint leaves instead.
