Pro Tips/FAQs
How to store the grapefruit slushie?
It will taste best if made fresh only. However, if you would want you can keep the grapefruit juice and cut pieces ready. Add the mint leaves, soda water, sweetener, and ice cubes when ready to serve.
What if my grapefruit is too sour?
Normally, grapefruit is sour when they are a bit unripe. Choose the slightly soft grapefruit when buying. If you have the hard ones leave them on the kitchen counter for a day or two to ripe properly.
Make sure to cut them properly and remove all of the white skin when making the juice as the white skin is bitter in taste. Alternatively, you can use store-bought grapefruit juice.
Serving Suggestions
Serve the grapefruit slushie with pizza buns, garlic knots, shortbread cookies, or Bombay mixture. Or you can enjoy it simply as it is.
