Farali Fruit Chaat

Faraali Fruit Chaat is a chaat made with a variety of seasonal fruits, tossed with homemade chaat masala and drizzled with tangy lemon juice.

What is Chaat or Chat?

Chaat is a spicy and tasty combination of ingredients put together to snack on, mostly the word represents to lick your fingers.

Fruit chaat is made using different fruits, tossed with spices powders and finally served with drizzled lemon juice. It brings out exotic flavors and tastes to the fruits.

Basic Ingredients for Fruit Chaat:

  • Firstly, Fruits-Use your imagination and add any kind of fruit you would want to indulge in.
  • Potato-Fried potatoes add in a very nice texture
  • Chaat masala-Its’s a mix of few spices like red chili, dried mango powder, salt, roasted cumin powder, etc.

How to make fruit chaat?

Deep fry the potatoes until golden and crispy, drain and set aside. The next step is to place all the fruits in one bowl, add chaat masala and fried potatoes.

Finally, drizzle lemon juice and toss everything to combine.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve the chaat immediately as it will leave the water if kept for longer.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kiwi chopped
  • 1 apple cubed
  • 1 pear cubed
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 banana sliced
  • 1 plum chopped
  • 1 peach chopped
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate pearls
  • 2 potatoes cubed

Spices

  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoon cumin seeds powder roasted
  • 1 teaspoon amchoor powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • 1 teaspoon peppercorn crushed
  • rock salt as required
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the potatoes till golden brown, drain on paper towel.
  • Take all fruits in a mixing bowl. Add fried potatoes.
  • Now add all spices powder and salt. Finally, add lemon juice, stir well. Serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Use your choice of fruits in the chaat.
  2. Adjust spices as per your taste.
