Virgin Kiwi Daiquiri

A refreshing and tasty mocktail drink made with fresh kiwis. simple syrup and soda water. This is a fun way to enjoy seasonal kiwis while quenching the thirst with something refreshing and delicious at the same time.

Normally daiquiri is made with alcohol, preferably rum, and some citrus fruit along with sugar. As we are making nonalcoholic or virgin kiwi daiquiri so we won’t be adding any alcohol. If you want to make it the traditional way, go ahead and use rum in the recipe.

Ingredients Needed for Virgin Kiwi Daiquiri

  • Kiwi: Seasonal fresh kiwis would make the best virgin daiquiri.
  • Ice cubes: Optional but I would recommend adding ice cubes for tat extra refreshing and chilled mood.
  • Simple syrup: See the notes (note 5) for the simple syrup recipe.
  • Lemon: Fresh lemons or you can use limes as well.
  • Soda water: Any kind of carbonated drink like lime soda, soda water, or sparkling water can be used.

How to make Virgin Kiwi Daiquiri

Blend kiwis with ice cubes, simple syrup, and lemon juice in a blender. Strain to remove any unwanted pulp.

Pour in serving glasses and top up with soda water. Add more ice cubes if desired. Decorate with kiwi slices.

How to store the kiwi daiquiri?

It will taste best if made fresh only. However, if you would want you can make a paste of kiwi, simple syrup, and lemon juice and keep it refrigerated. Add the soda water and ice cubes when ready to serve.

What if my kiwis are sour?

Normally, kiwi is sour when they are a bit unripe. Choose the slightly soft kiwi when buying. If you have the hard ones leave them on the kitchen counter for a day or two to ripe properly.

My kiwi daiquiri did not get this color in your pics?

Kiwi daiquiri will give a very light subtle green color to the drink. The pics are edited to look beautiful. However, if you desire you can add a drop or two of green food color to brighten the drink.

Why strain the drink?

When you will blend the kiwis with lemon juice and simple syrup, the skin and seeds will be present in it. Straining will ensure you will have a smooth and delicious daiquiri.

Simple syrup is a syrup made with equal parts sugar and water and cooked until sugar is melted.
