Thandai and Dry Fruits Barfi is a very delicious, rich and flavorful barfi loaded with dried fruits, nuts, and milk powder khoya. What else do we need more to celebrate any good news or festival?
What is Thandai barfi?
Thandai barfi is sweet fudge made with the milk powder, dried fruits and nuts, and thandai masala.
Holi, the festival of colors is just around the corner. And like me, I am sure most of you have started cooking sweets and savories for the same. I have picked a few dishes to make for my girls and this Thandai barfi was one of them.
Every year around this time I make a big batch of Thandai Masala. Then, I would make a few recipes including some fusion recipes. Last year, I made this Thandai Cupcakes, Thandai Kulfi and Thandai drink for Holi. Those recipes were a huge hit with my girls and they totally loved it.
If you are wondering what is Thandai, let me tell you about it. Thandai is a blend of dried fruits, nuts, spices added with some saffron and rose petals. The prepared spice mix is then used to make a chilled drink during the festival of Holi and hot summer days.
We a group of fellow bloggers are doing a compilation of sweet and savory recipes #HolikeRang. The idea is to make a collection of all delicious Holi recipes together. It would be so easier to find all tasty recipes in one place and if you gals run out of ideas then this collection will definitely help you all.
