Chocolate Pecan Cookies

Chocolate Pecan Cookies- The classic butter cookies with the addition of chocolate chunks and pecan nuts. These chocolate pecan cookies taste absolutely delicious.

Recently, I saw these cookies on CookingdiarybyShruti’s Instagram profile and right away I wanted to bake them. She took a gorgeous picture of the cookies which definitely would make you want to try.

I immediately noted the recipe and made them but mine didn’t turn out as nice as hers. Maybe because I tweaked the recipe a little bit, but taste-wise they were absolutely amazing.

My girls finished them all in one day, so I am definitely going to try the chocolate pecan cookies again real soon. Hopefully next time they’d come out much nicer!

Chocolate Pecan Cookies

The classic butter cookies with the addition of chocolate chunks and pecan nuts. These chocolate pecan cookies taste absolutely delicious.

Equipment

  • Baking Tray, Mixing Bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chunks, chopped
  • 1/4 cup pecan nuts, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180 degree and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Beat butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and creamy.
  • Add in vanilla and milk. Sift flour, baking soda in the butter.
  • Stir in chocolate and pecan nuts (save some for topping).
  • Scoop out a tablespoon of cookie dough on the prepared baking tray, flatten and top with some chocolate chunks and pecan nuts.
  • Bake in preheated oven for about 15 to 17 minutes or until golden.
  • Remove from oven, cool the cookies and serve with milk.
  • Store in an airtight container.

Notes

To make the cookies double chocolate add some cocoa powder into the cookie dough.
