Aloo Shakarkand Chaat

Sweet Potato is one of the staple food with high source of nutrients like Vitamins , Minerals and Fiber than other cereals . It is often used worldwide in culinary as well as non culinary values.In India, sweet potato is the one favorite vegetable used in fasting and the most common practice of using it is by pressure cook boiling or by roasting it over kitchen coals and eaten with some dressing.
Today I have prepared this wonderful Delhi style chaat , that is loved by everyone . So rather than eating boiled sweet potato , try this sweet and sour chaat and enjoy .So let’s start the recipe . Yum

Enjoy this delicious , lip smacking , sweet and tangy chaat with your family.

Ingredients:
2 sweet potato , boiled & cut in cubes
2 potatoes , boiled & cut in cubes
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup yoghurt , beaten
1/4 cup mint chutney
1/4 cup tamarind chutney
2 teaspoon chaat masala
2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
1 teaspoon red chilly powder
Salt to taste
1/4 cup radish , grated
Few coriander leaves, chopped

Method:
Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the potatoes and sweet potato cubes till golden from both sides.
Take fried Potatoes and sweet potatoes in a bowl , pour beaten yoghurt all over it. Add mint chutney and tamarind chutney .
Sprinkle salt , chilly powder , cumin powder and chaat masala . Mix well.

Garnish with grated radish and coriander leaves . Serve and enjoy!

Serve -4. Cooking time -15 minutes

Note: You may replace tamarind chutney with sweet tomato sauce as well .
Deep fry the potatoes and sweet potatoes for more crispier chaat.
