Aloo Cheese Croquettes


Aloo cheese croquettes , a tasty snack made up of potatoes filled with chilly – garlic stuffing !! What could be better than enjoying these scrumptious croquettes in the cold evening with family . For the second day of third week of BM#34 , this is my entry under Evening Snacks theme. So let’s start the recipe . Yum

Ingredients:

For Cheesy Stuffing
1/2 cup processed cheese , grated
1 teaspoon garlic , grated
1 teaspoon ginger , grated
1 teaspoon green Chilly , finely chopped
A pinch of salt

For outer covering:
6 potatoes , boiled & mashed
1 green Chilly , chopped
1 tablespoon coriander leaves, chopped
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon peppercorn powder
Salt to taste

For Coating
1/2 cup all purpose flour
Water as required

For Rolling

3/4 cup bread crumbs

oil for deep frying

Method:
Combine the potatoes , green chilli , coriander leaves , cumin powder , salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well.
Mix the all purpose flour with 1/2 cup water and beat well to avoid lumps .
Mix cheese , salt , garlic , ginger and green chillies in a bowl and set aside.
Divide the potato mixture into 6 to 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a small flat patty .

Press a little in the center of each patty and fill about 2 teaspoon of cheesy filling , again shape into croquettes.

Dip each croquette in the flour water mixture and roll in the bread crumbs till evenly coated from all sides.
Heat oil in a wok , on a medium flame, and fry the croquettes till they are golden brown and crispy from both sides.

Drain on an absorbent paper and Serve hot with mint chutney and tomato sauce.

Enjoy !!

Serve-4. Cooking time -20 minutes
