Zimbabwean Soup

For the final alphabet , I have reached to Zimbabwe , the landlocked country of Africa.Zimbabwean cuisine is most likely non vegetarian with a use of few seasonal vegetables like squash , papaya, corn , yam , pumpkin and peanuts.

From the recipe source I have come to know that this soup is basically served in every house along with rice, potatoes , bread or sadza .This is very simple but flavorful soup recipe. So let’s start . yum

This would be my last recipe for now as I am taking a few month’s break from blogging. I will be back soon till then be in touch and keep visiting my space.Happy Blogging !

Ingredients:
1 tomato,chopped
1 onion.chopped
2 garlic cloves.chopped
1 tablespoon curry powder
salt to taste
1 tablespoon soup powder (I didn’t use instead i used cornstarch dissolves in water )
1 tablespoon oil
Cold water as required

Method:

Heat oil in a pan , add garlic and stir for 1 minute.
Add onions and sate for few minutes till soft. Add curry powder and mix well.
Now add chopped tomatoes and stir,add soup powder/cornstarch and cold water. Let it cook till soup thickens , stirring in between.


Pour in serving bowl and serve warm.

Serve-2 Cooking time-20 minutes
