Veg Fried Rice (+Video)

Veg fried rice is a tasty and super delicious Indo-Chinese style fried rice that tastes amazing with veg Manchurian gravy.

Veg fried rice has a tangy flavor of vinegar and soy sauce and spicy with chilly sauce. It tastes amazing with Veg Manchurian Gravy or simply as it is.

When it comes to Indo-Chinese dishes the basic ingredients and methods are the same except the main ingredient you are working with. Be it a Gobi Manchurian or any other Vegetable Manchurian, the sauces and seasonings are the same.

Veg Fried Rice

Equipment

  • Pan

Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups boiled rice, I use sona masoori rice
  • 1/2 cup green beans finely chopped
  • 1 cup cabbage, chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic grated
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 2 chopped green chilies

Seasonings

  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorn powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon green chilly sauce
  • 4 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a wok, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add green beans and cook for at least 3 minutes. Add carrots and sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add onions and green chillies , sauté for 1 minute. Add the seasoning.
  • Add boiled rice , soy sauce , chilli sauce and vinegar. Mix well.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped spring onion greens.

Notes

  1. Adjust spices as per your taste. 
  2. I like to make fried rice using sona masori rice as they taste amazing in it.
