Soya Chunks Pulav

For the last week of BM#41 , my is Special Theme in which I am paired with +Kalyani MomChef of Sizzling Tastebuds . Kalyani is a versatile blogger and she has many wonderful recipes on her blog.

It’s kind of difficult to find three recipes from lots of amazing ones but again I opted for those recipes for which I have ingredients in my pantry. So for the first day I made this delicious and healthy soya chunks pulav . See the original recipe here. So let’s start the recipe . Yum

Ingredients:
2 cup Basmati Rice
1/4 cup Soya Chunks
1/4 cup peas
2 potatoes,cubed
1 Onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon Ginger , grated
1 teaspoon garlic, grated
2 Green Chillies , chopped
Hot Water as required
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 cinnamon stick
1 Cardamom
2 Clove
2 Bay leaves
4 tablespoon oil

Method:
Wash and soak rice in 2 cup water and set aside.Boil enough water and add soya chunks in it. Squeeze out the soya chunks after 5 minutes from water and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan , add cumin seeds , clove , cinnamon , cardamom and bay leaves in it. Let the spices a little brown.
Add onions and sauté till brown , now add peas , potatoes and soaked and squeezed soya chunks . Stir for 5-7 minutes.
Now add rice and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add salt and 2 cups of hot water and mix well.
Let it cook covered till rice are done.

Remove from heat and serve hot with pickle.
