Raw Banana Veggie

Raw banana is one of the veggie available all year and is an
excellent source of Vitamin B. Usually a dish of South Indian states it
is always my favorite vegetable to cook curry,fritters and pancakes.
 Today I have made a dry curry from raw banana using common spices but
twisted the taste with gooseberry. So let’s start with recipe.yum


Ingredients:
 Raw banana(cut in small cubes)-2 cup
Gooseberry(chopped)-2 tbsp
 Onion
(chopped)-1/2 cup
 Green chilly chopped-2 tsp
 Yoghurt-2 tbsp
 Vegetable
oil-2 tbsp
 Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
 Red chilly powder-1
tsp
 Coriander powder-1 tsp
 Salt to taste
 Curry leaves- a handful
 Method:
 Heat oil in a pan or kadahi ,add mustard seeds sauté and add chopped onion and green chillies.Add
all spices and salt,banana cubes ,chopped gooseberry and cook for 10
minutes.Now add yoghurt and cook for another 10 minutes. You can add
tomatoes if liked to (optional).Remove from heat and garnish with curry leaves.
Serve with dosa,idli,chapati or rice and dal.
 Serve -2.    Cooking time-25 minutes
