No Bake Double Chocolate Apricot Prune Brownies

We are in the last week of BM#43 and my theme for the week is Healthy Desserts for Kids. This is also the theme for this month’s Kids Delight event happening at my space.
Kids love chocolate based deserts and even grown ups too. I made these chocolate brownies in a healthy way by adding prunes , apricots , almonds and oats in it. My daughter loved them and wouldn’t even guessed that there is something else in the brownies other then chocolate. So let’s start the recipe .yum

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Prunes ,chopped
1/2 cup apricots,chopped
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
2 tablespoon honey
4 tablespoon powdered sugar
2 tablespoon low fat butter
100 gm dark chocolate bar

Method:
Line a flat baking tray with aluminum foil. Chop almonds , apricots and prunes roughly. Heat a pan and dry roast the almonds for 5 minutes on low flames. Add cooking oats and fry for another 2 minutes.

Cool the almonds and oats. Grind roasted almonds and oats for a few seconds in a blender. Add apricots and prunes and pulse it again.

Heat a non stick pan and add butter and honey.

As the butter melts add chocolate bar, cocoa powder and cook for 2 minutes till all the ingredients mix well and make a creamy chocolate sauce.

Add the ground oats mixture to the chocolate sauce and mix well.

Pour the brownie batter into the lined baking tray and flatten the top with the back of a spoon .

Refrigerate it for 2-3 hours.Remove from refrigerator and slice the brownies.

Serve and enjoy!!

Serve-15-20 pieces. Cooking time-15 minutes
