Mushroom Manchurian

Mushroom manchurian is a wonderful Indo-Chinese dish for mushroom lovers and in my house everyone loves mushroom except me.So when I made this dry manchurian they went gaga over it and liked it to the core.I served this manchurian with fried rice and as I was running out of green capsicum ,I used red and yellow peppers instead. The overall result was fabulous .So let’s start the recipe.yum

Ingredients:

For batter:
3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoon cornflour
1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
1 teaspoon soya sauce
1/2 teaspoon peppercorn ,crushed
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt to taste

Other ingredients:
250 gm button mushroom
1 bell pepper (green / yellow or red ),chopped
3/4 cup spring onions, chopped
2 green chilies, chopped
2 teaspoon garlic,grated
2 teaspoon ginger,grated
1/2 teaspoon peppercorn ,crushed
1 tablespoon soya sauce
salt to taste
Oil for frying

Method:
Wash and dry the mushrooms and cut them in halves.
In a bowl mix the ingredients for batter .Heat oil in a pan and dip the mushrooms one by one in batter and fry till golden brown.
Drain on paper towel and set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in another pan and add the spring onion whites and stir fry for a minute.
Add green chili, ginger, garlic and some of the spring onion greens.
stir fry for a minute on low heat
Now add the black pepper, salt, sugar and soya sauce .Mix well and add fried mushrooms .
Stir well until combined .

Serve mushroom manchurian hot with fried rice .

Serve-4. Cooking time -25 minutes
