I have got this buckwheat flour left from Navratri days. I was thinking what to do with it and suddenly remembered my mother’s special Halwa recipe. By adding small amount of water chestnut flour it becomes a really delicious desert to relish. So let’s start the work . Yum

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Buckwheat flour / Kuttu Atta/ Rajgiri Atta
1/4 cup water Chestnut Flour/ Singhara Atta
1 teaspoon green cardamom , crushed
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup clarified butter /Desi Ghee
1/4 cup chopped pistachios
4 cups water
Method:
Sieve both flour together . Heat clarified butter in a wok , add sieved flour .
Roast it on low heat with continuous stirring till color changes to dark brown. Add crushed cardamoms and stir it.
Add sugar and mix well. Now add water and cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes till water evaporates.

Remove from heat and add chopped pistachios.
Serve chilled.
Serve-4 cooking time -25 to 30 minutes
Note: Stir continuously or else there will be lumps in the flours.
