Kulcha

For the final day of third week of BM#41 under E-N breakfast dishes , I picked “K”  for Kulcha from the list .

This was our breakfast last weekend and we had a lovely time enjoying our kulchas with spicy baby potatoes . So let’s start the recipe . Yum

Ingredients:

2 cup All purpose flour/Maida
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon Sugar
3-4 tablespoon Oil
1/4 cup Curd
1/4 cup Warm Milk
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
Few coriander leaves, chopped

Method:

Sift all purpose flour with baking soda, baking powder and salt in a bwl.
Add oil, curd, sugar and mix.

Now add the warm milk and knead into a soft dough. Cover the dough with kitchen cloth and keep aside for an hour.

Take out the dough, pinch out a medium size ball. Dust with flour and roll out to a flat and thick disc.

Sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves on one side.

Heat few drops of oil in a frying pan, and gently drop the kulcha into the hot oil.

Cook on both sides, until the kulchas turn brown.

Remove from pan and serve hot with Chole or any other side dish.

Serve-4. Cooking time -20 minutes
