Gulab Jamun Recipe

Talk about Indian sweets and not make gulab jamun, that does not fare at all. I definitely had to share this very famous and most popular sweet of India in this BM.

I always make gulab jamun recipe with milk powder four our birthdays every year and haven’t tried any other method. So this year March I made it for my husband’s surprise birthday party.

Gulab Jamun Recipe-2

He never had a surprise party before, so I and my daughter planned a surprise party for him. I called all his friends and colleagues and organize the party. My elder one helped in decorating the home when he was in office and I made sure he would come home at the expected time with the help of his friend.

So I decided to make a simple tea time menu with Aloo Pyaaz Pakoda, Palak Pakoda, gulab jamun, fruit punch, veg pizza and of course chocolate drip cake.

Gulab Jamun Recipe-3

So at the fixed time all of his friends and their family arrived and we all were ready for the surprise action. When he came home and we all shouted happy birthday he totally felt overwhelmed as this was his first surprise ever and least expected too.

Anyway, we had a wonderful fun-filled evening get together and an amazing birthday celebration. As I was making all the dishes I remembered that I haven’t posted Gulab Jamuns on the blog, so immediately took some pictures to post for the Mega BM.

Glad you were able to surprise your husband with these goodies as well as with wonderful moments to cherish. I agree Indian sweets without Gulab Jamun is not a fair representation. Love the juicy jamuns there.

Wow Sapana! We have something very similar in Ghana which I shared on my blog. This world is really a small place. Just have to tweak a few things and I’ll be a able to make these fine gulabs. Thanks for sharing!

Delicious looking gulab jamuns Sapana. Reminds me of my mum. She use to make the best ones with milk powder. Our extended family would always request her to make them whenever they had parties at their homes.
