In a mixing bowl add milk powder, flour, and baking powder. Mix well until combined.
Add ghee and slowly add milk to make a smooth dough. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a wok or pan on medium-low.
Pinch out small round balls from the dough and keep ready in a plate.
Gently roll the balls gain before adding to the oil, fry the balls on medium-low heat until dark golden in color.
Make syrup
Bring the sugar and water to a boil for about 10 minutes.
Add saffron and cardamom and boil the syrup for about 10 minutes.
Stir in lemon juice and set the syrup aside.
Dip the Jamuns
Dip the fried jamuns into the syrup and let them in the syrup for about 2 hours.
Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Keep the heat medium while frying the jamuns.Do not roll the balls with too much pressure or else you will get very hard gulab jamuns.You may warm up the gulab jamun in the syrup before serving.
