If you happen to visit my blog regularly ,you must be knowing my love for rice based one pot meals .I would want to add rice in my menu everyday, but others in the family doesn’t have the equivalent love for rice.Because of this behavior ,I sometimes got teased by them, that you should have born in the South or West and that way you would have been eating rice every day.
I love making pulavs in pressure cooker. I know it does sound weird, but I do and don’t know why, I just can’t use open pan .However, I know that the results would be far better in a pan but still I wouldn’t dare to do so.
Coming to the recipe ,this is a very simple rice pilaf with green beans and carrots. This is very easy to make and can be served as a perfect lunch box recipe for kids.

I really like the simplicity of this dish.
Wow, wat a flavourful pulav, i can have simply rite now with some papads and raita.
I cook the pulao in thick pans, but looks like you got a good texture with pressure cooker itself. The pulao looks delicious.
I am the exact opposite Sapana. I just can't make pulao in the cooker. Even if I have no time, I still opt for the pan. Love your pulao…looks colorful and healthy and yumm
I don't prepare a variety of biryanis and pulaos but when we feel like eating it, this is what I exactly prepare. And so obviously love your pulao. 🙂
I too am a fan of cooker pulaos and biriyanis. I very rarely make them in an open pan.
I am really bad making pulao in the cooker. I would maybe use the rice cooker, but never the pressure cooker. Your have come out really well, so I see why not!
my favorite recipe. I do it in pressure cooker too, Makes it simple one pot dish
im the opposite. Although I own a pressure cooker, I can count on one hand the number of times I've used it – the hissing freaks me out.
regardless what vessel used, this looks a delicious rice
I love such one pot meals..the pulao looks fantastic!
I used to be like you Sapana, always made rice dishes in the cooker. But lately I've learnt to make them in open pot with some success. Your veggie pulao looks colorful and delicious.
My go to gadget is the rice cooker. Simple and hearty pulao!
