Green Beans & Carrot Pulao

We are in another edition of BM#58 ,and as usual have given with very nice themes to select by the creator of the group +Srivalli Jetti . For the first week I choose to showcase rice recipes.
If you happen to visit my blog regularly ,you must be knowing my love for rice based one pot meals .I would want to add rice in my menu everyday, but others in the family doesn’t have the equivalent love for rice.Because of this behavior ,I sometimes got teased by them, that you should have born in the South or West and that way you would have been eating rice every day.

I love making pulavs in pressure cooker. I know it does sound weird, but I do and don’t  know why, I just can’t use open pan .However, I know that the results would be far better in a pan but still I wouldn’t dare to do so.

Coming to the recipe ,this is a very simple rice pilaf with green beans and carrots. This is very easy to make and can be served as a perfect lunch box recipe for kids.

  1. I am the exact opposite Sapana. I just can't make pulao in the cooker. Even if I have no time, I still opt for the pan. Love your pulao…looks colorful and healthy and yumm

  2. im the opposite. Although I own a pressure cooker, I can count on one hand the number of times I've used it – the hissing freaks me out.
regardless what vessel used, this looks a delicious rice

  3. I used to be like you Sapana, always made rice dishes in the cooker. But lately I've learnt to make them in open pot with some success. Your veggie pulao looks colorful and delicious.
