Italian Fusilli in Arrabiata sauce

We are now in Itlay for alphabet “I” , one of the beautiful and cultural country of Europe.The main cuisine consists of rice , pasta and vegetables. All of the dishes can be made with only few ingredients.

I made simple fusilli pasta in arrabiata sauce . It is as simple with few ingredients but amazingly tasty. So let’s start the recipe .yum

Ingredients:
For Arrabiata sauce

1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 red/green chillies , finely chopped
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon tomato paste
2oo g can whole peeled tomatoes/4 tomatoes blended in puree
2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
Few scallions, chopped(i used )
salt to taste
pepper to taste
few rocket leaves ( i used basil leaves)

other ingredients

1 cup fusilli pasta
1 teaspoon oil


Method:

Boil fusilli in enough water. Drain under running water. Toss with some oil and keep aside.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat , add onion and garlic.
Cook and stir for 3-4 minutes.Add chillies and tomato paste . Cook for 1 minute.
Add canned whole tomatoes /puree tomatoes. Cook  for 15 minutes , stirring in between or until sauce thickens.
Stir in vinegar . Season with salt and pepper.

Toss the pasta in sauce .Add rocket/basil leaves. Serve warm.

  1. wow thats my fav pasta with arrabiata sauce 🙂 This was my first pasta dish I made years ago and still can't beat any pasta dish 🙂 lovely selection for I dear 🙂 so tempting pasta !!
