Dahi Wale Aloo

Dahi Wale Aloo-A very tasty and super easy gravy made with potatoes and yogurt. This is a no onion, garlic and tomato curry and tastes just amazing.

This is my favorite curry to make during Navratri fasting days and I always make it every year when fasting. It tastes just amazing with falaari poori and or paratha. Once you try this curry I am sure you will never miss the onion, garlic or tomatoes, that’s how much delicious it is without those.

If you remember my Navratri thalis, I did post this dahi aloo along with other dishes in my third-day thali. Whether fasting or not you can try this dahi wale aloo anytime and pair it with roti or paratha and every time you will be pleased to taste this wonderful curry.

I once made this curry for some unexpected guests and frankly speaking they all licked their fingers until the last bite of this curry. So if you have unexpected guests and you ran out of grocery do try dahi wale aloo and get ready to take compliments.

A humble veggie option with basic ingredients at home. I love making this once in a month when I dont want to eat a heavy gravy based dish of onions and garlic. This feels light and easy. Loved the colour of the sabzi and it certainly looks delicious.

  4. With all the delicious potato recipes this week, it’s like the whole universe is conspiring to make me cook potatoes today. This scrumptious curry is very tempting, especially with the pooris in the background.

  5. This is my kind of gravy. No onion and tomato, it is perfect. I like t roughly mashed potatoes instead of the nicely cubed ones. Gives it a rustic quality.
