Burmese Split Pea Fritters

For the last day of cooking fritters from the wiki list , I made Burmese split pea fritters.These fritters are so much like our masala vadas in texture and taste.I loved making and eating these fritters as our tea time snack.
So let’s start the recipe.yum

Ingredients:

1 cup split pea
1 white onion,chopped
1 green chilly ,chopped
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
Cilantro leaves,chopped
salt to taste
pepper to taste
oil for frying

Method:

Wash and soak split pea in enough water for 4-5 hours or overnight.
Make a smooth paste using enough water .
Add chopped onion,cilantro and chilli in split pea paste.Finally add salt ,chilly powder,peppercorn and turmeric powder.
Mix well .Heat oil in a pan.Drop a tablespoon of batter few at a time .Fry from both sides till golden.

Drain on paper towel.Serve hot.
