Vegan Mini Doughnuts are cute mini doughnuts made vegan-friendly with only a few ingredients and are really quick and easy to make too.
What are Vegan Donuts?
Vegan mini donuts are small-sized donuts made without using dairy and yeast, suitable for vegans to enjoy without any fuss.
These vegan mini donuts were made with plain wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour and turned out really nice. We had them for our Sunday morning breakfast. They were just perfect to enjoy with a hot cup of tea.
When it comes to doughnuts I somehow prefer the one made without using yeast. I am constantly looking for those recipes. Luckily this vegan donuts recipe I found on Tasty and totally fell in love with it.
If you like to add some flavorings then go ahead and add some fresh fruit purees or juices. You could make these donuts more interesting with fresh fruits. I kind of like the plain donuts coated in cinnamon sugar only. But I guess there is no harm in trying variations too.
I will try to bake these donuts and if it is a success then it would be total guilt-free donuts recipe to enjoy anytime.
Fun Fact-My elder one thought they were balushahi as I made them in small size only, and frankly, they looked like too. But the taste and texture were just amazing.
Basic Ingredients for Vegan Doughnuts:
- Firstly, Plain flour- I prefer wheat flour but you may replace it with all purpose flour as well.
- Non dairy milk-Any non dairy milk of your choice.
- Apple cider vinegar-To add the air in the batter.
- Sugar-Any sweetener of your choice is fine in the recipe.
How to make vegan donuts?
The process of making dounts is very simple. Gather all the ingredienst, mix in a bowl and keep ready to deep fry.
Meanwhile heat oil in a pan and shape the dounuts in your hands, drop one by one in medium hot oil and deep fry until golden in color.
Finally remove from oil on a kitchen towel paper and coat in cinnamon sugar.Enjoy!
Serving and storage:
Serve the donuts with milk, coffee or tea. You can store them in the refrigerator for a few days and in the freezer for up to a month. Thaw and heat in microwave before eating.
