Spinach Fritters /Palak Ke Pakore

Spinach pakoras are a crispy and easy snack to enjoy with tea in this festive season. Winter has just started in here and markets are full of green leafy vegetables like Spinach , Amaranths, Mustard ,Radish etc . Spinach fritters are an easy way to incorporate greens in kids diet as well. So let’s start the recipe . Yum

Spinach pakora

Ingredients:
250 gm spinach , finely chopped
1 cup gram flour
1 onion , chopped
1 teaspoon ginger , chopped
3 green chillies , chopped
1 teaspoon red Chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon carom seeds
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon chaat masala
1/2 teaspoon dried mango powder /amchur
Salt to taste
4 tablespoon water or as required
Oil for frying

Method:
Wash spinach leaves thoroughly under running water. Drain and set aside.
Add chopped onion , ginger , green chilly and all the spices and salt. Mix well by adding 3-4 tablespoon of water or as required.
Heat oil in a wok and drop about 1 tablespoon of spinach mixture at a time , about few in one batch. Fry from both sides , fliping from each side till crispy from both sides.

Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with tomato ketchup and mint chutney.

Serve -4. Cooking time-20 minutes


Notes: You may add lemon juice instead of amchur powder.
