Spiced Hot Chocolate
Hot chocolate is a world-famous drink. When the weather is warm all we want to do is sip on a cozy hot beverage and snuggle in blankets. This hot chocolate is just perfect for those days.
Therr are so many ways you can serve your hot chocolate.
- Serve it spiced like this recipe.
- Top with some whipped cream.
- Add some marshmallows or top it up with some grated chocolate.
- Or simply serve plain hot chocolate.
Ingredients Needed to make Spiced Hot Chocolate
- Cocoa Powder: Good quality unsweetened cocoa powder makes the best hot chocolate.
- Chocolate: Dark chocolate or any kind of good quality chocolate.
- Sugar: Brown or castor sugar for sweetener.
- Milk: Whole milk full fat.
- Cinnamon: Ground cinnamon to add some nice mild flavors.
- Ginger: Ground ginger for subtle spiced flavors.
How to make Spiced Hot Cocoa?
Step 1. Mix dry Ingredients– In a saucepan add cocoa powder, sugar and corn starch. Mix well.
Step 2. Simmer Cook– Now gradually add milk and sugar and cook on low heat until it starts thickening.
Step 3. Add Spices and Serve– Add in chocolate and spices, stir and mix well. Pour in serving glasses and enjoy.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- sugar to taste
- 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chopped
- 3 cups milk
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
Notes
- You can use any sweetener like white sugar, brown sugar, or honey to make it.
- To make it vegan, use any plant-based milk.
- Make sure to stir on low heat or else cornstarch will stick to the bottom of the pan.
