Tilgul | Til ke Ladoo

Sesame jaggery balls or as we say til aur gud ke ladoo are very healthy and tasty ladoos made with only two ingredients and taste absolutely divine.

What is Tilgul?

Tilgul or til ke ladoo are seasme seeds and jaggery balls made with only these two ingredients. They are packed with protein, calcium, iron and many other vitamins and minerals.

Til is the Hindi name sesame seeds, and gud/gur is jaggery (concentrated product of sugarcane). The combination of roasted sesame seeds and jaggery is just unbelievably amazing.

In some places, people won’t even bind them into balls and eat the mixture as such. I prefer making them into round lemon size balls, as it’s easy to consume and I can have few of them without any fuss!

Basic Ingredients for Til me Ladoo:

The basic ingredients to make til ke ladoo are listed below.

  • Firstly, Sesame seeds-Use white sesame seeds for the recipe.
  • Jaggery- you cab replace it with date or palm jaggery as well.
  • Ghee-Just to bind everything, it can be omitted.

How to make Til Ke Ladoo?

The process of making til ladoo is very easy. First, slightly roast the sesame seeds and cool them. Once it is done grind the sesame seeds with jaggery in a food processor or blender.

Great, you’ve done most of it. Now simply add ghee or not, and make round balls of your desired size.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve these delicious til ke ladoo as it is, or with badam milk, plain milk or even tea.
