Rava Vegetable Dhokla


For the second day of Dhoklas for BM#43, I made quick rava vegetable dhokla from Tarla Dalal’s website.These are really quick and healthy version of steamed dhoklas with goddness of vegetables. So let’s start the recipe.yum

Ingredients:
1 cup Semolina/Rava
2 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon ginger-green chili paste
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon oil
1/4 cup mixed vegetables,finely chopped(carrots,peas,beans)
2 teaspoon eno fruit salt
salt to taste

To temper
2 teaspoon oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
2 green chili,chopped

To garnish

coriander leaves,chopped


Method:

Combine rava , ginger chilli paste ,oil ,buttermilk, chopped veggies and salt in a bowl.Stir slowly with continuous stirring to avoid lumps.
Cover and Let it set aside for 15-20 minutes for fermentation.
Grease a tray or thali with oil, add eno salt into the batter and mix. Immediately transfer the batter into greased tray.
Steam in steamer for 15 minutes or till cooked.
Heat oil in a pan and add all the ingredients to temper. Add 2 tablespoon of water and pour this tempering over dhoklas.
cool ,cut into pieces and serve with mint chutney.
