Musuri Dal

Musuri dal or Masoor dal is a comforting and delicious red lentil cooked with Bengali style and is quite popular in the state. They say Bengali can’t live without their fish and masoor dal.The flavorful tempering of paanch phoran makes it more delicious and inviting.

We make our Punjabi style masoor dal with the tadka of hing ,garlic and lots of tomatoes. This Bengali style taste totally different with the tempering of paanch phoran. It tastes best with steaming hot rice and luchi also.I made the recipe again fro Sandeepa’s space and loved the recipe. This is one such easy and comforting dal when you just want to eat something delicious but don’t want to put much efforts.Just put the dal in pressure cooker ,sit drink coffee or juice and enjoy.
