Mushroom Choliya ( Horse gram with mushroom)

I used to make choliya in winters….it’s available in winters only.Choliya when added with button mushroom taste wow,but if you can’t find them use peas instead…..


Ingredients:
Horse gram( choliya)-250 g
Minced Mushroom-250g
Chopped garlic-2tsp
Chopped onion-1/2 cup
Chopped tomatoes-2 cup
Chopped green chilly-2 tsp
Grated ginger-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder-2 tsp
Garam masala-1 tsp
Red chilly powder-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Butter-2 txp
Olive oil 4 tsp
Method:
Heat oil in a pan and add chopped garlic,onion,ginger.Saute for 1 minute ( let it kacha paka or partially cooked ).Add all spices and salt ,stir and add chilly and tomatoes.
To this add washed horse gram and stir ,cover the lid till horse gram are cooked( stir frequently).Now add mushrooms and open the lid.Mushroom will leave water so stir repeatedly till water evaporates and oil comes out.
Garnish with coriander and butter.Serve with naan,or rice.
Serve-4.   Cooking time-30 min
