Middle Eastern style burger made with soya keema patty, vegetables and yoghurt make a filling and delicious weekend breakfast. The best part is even kids would love this burger and finish all of it without hesitation.
As like Idli, burger always goes on weekend breakfast list and the main reason is for it to be popular in my family is to be kids favourite. I don’t have to force them to finish it off as being a burger it has to be delicious for them. They don’t care whatever the patties are made of as long as it is a B-U-R-G-E-R.

Theme-Weekend Breakfast
Dish-Soya keema tikki burger
Middle Eastern Burger
Ingredients
- 1 cup soya keema
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas, I used cooked black beans
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon peppercorn, crushed
- 4 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
- 1/4 cup coriander leaves, chopped
To serve
- few lettuce leaves
- sliced cucumbers
- sliced tomatoes
- sliced onions
- 10-12 olives
- 1/2 cup yougurt, Greek
- 6 burger buns
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoon olive oil in a pan and saute onions for few minutes.
- Stir in soya keema and add all the seasonings. Mix well and add cooked chickpeas/beans and coriander leaves.
- Let the mixture cool a little bit. Once cooled make patties and shallow fry them on a non-stick tava using the remaining olive oil.
- Toast the burger buns and arrange layers of vegetables, olives, patties and yoghurt.
- Serve and enjoy.
