Masala Peas Pulav

Here is an interesting and tasty combination of rice , ground masala and peas to pamper your taste buds. So what are you waiting for just pick your ingredients and try out this delicious preparation. I have adapted the recipe from here. So let’s start the recipe . Yum

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup Rice
1 cup green peas
1 teaspoon Coriander seeds /Powder
1 teaspoon Fennel seeds
1 inch Ginger
3-5 Garlic cloves
2 Green chilli
Few Fresh coriander leaves
2 Onions , chopped
1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red Chilli powder
3-4 tablespoon oil
Salt to taste
Water a required

Method:
Make a paste of coriander seeds, fennel seeds, ginger, garlic, green chilli, coriander leaves and 1 onion using enough water.

Heat oil in a non-stick pan or in a pressure cooker. Add cinnamon powder , cloves , cumin seeds and sauté for half a minute.
Add the second chopped onion and sauté till golden brown.
Add green peas, ground masala and sauté till oil comes out from edges.

Add rice, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and sauté for two to three minutes. Add three cups of water, salt and mix well.

Cover and cook till the rice are done or pressure cook for 1 whistle .

Serve hot .

Serve-4. Cooking time-20 minutes
