Masala Matar Rice is a spicy and delicious rice dish made with peas and lots of spices and aromatics. This rice is super simple and yet very inviting for a simple lunch or dinner.
In my family, I love rice so much that I can have it every day in any form. But then there are some limits and I can’t cook rice every day or otherwise I would be given the title of being a Rice Queen or some would say I should have been born in South India so I could eat rice each day.
Anyhow, I won’t miss any opportunity to cook rice and keep on trying different kinds of rice and variety. This masala matar rice is such one rice-based dish that my whole family loves to the core. One thing I know for sure that even they had rice the earlier day, no one would say no to matar masala rice.
The recipe is very simple and tastes amazing with some yogurt and salad. You can even make it with pre-cooked leftover rice if you want to.I know when it comes to matar rice every family has there own way of cooking. But we love it this way more and sometimes like plain matar pulao with shahi paneer curry.
