What is Mango shake?

Mango shake is a popular Indian mango and milk-based drink consumed during summertime. It tastes amazing when made with seasonal mangoes like chausa, kesari or dasheri.Mango lassi is also famous worldwide and is a favorite restaurant menu dish in many countries.

This is one of the easiest and tastiest ways of using mangoes and the best part is there is no cooking involved. Mango Lassi is a bit thick and creamy drink while this shake is slightly thinner and made with milk and mango only.

Can we make it Vegan?

Yes, use any of your favorite plant-based milk like almond milk, soya milk or coconut milk and make it vegan.

Ingredients for Mango Shake

  • First, Mango-Fresh or tinned mango puree
  • Milk-To adjust the consistency of mango shake
  • Sugar to taste

How to make Mango Shake?

As I mentioned above, it is one of the easiest drinks. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth. You may add more or less milk to make it thick or thin. Adjust the amount of sugar as per your taste and the quality of mangoes.

If your mangoes are sweet, you may not even need to add sugar but sometimes they might be little sour then add sugar accordingly.

Serving Suggestions

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe Mangoes
  • 1/2 liter full cream milk
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • few chopped nuts
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 6-8 ice cubes optional

Instructions
 

  • Wash and clean mango and cut in slices.
  • Blend a few mangoes with sugar. Add remaining ingredients and blend until you get a smooth shake.
  • Pour in serving glass, garnish with chopped nuts and enjoy.
