Malai Ladoo is a super soft and delicious, melt in mouth kind ladoo made with fresh crumbled paneer and cream.
Malai Ladoo
Malai Ladoo is a milk-based easy sweet dish that can e enjoyed whenever you have craving for sweet dishes.
I love making sweets and Indian mithai whenever there is a festival, and I would start prepping a few days before so don’t have to rush at the last moment.
Raksha Bandhan is approaching at the end of the month so I thought of posting three recipes for this auspicious festival. Although my brothers are in India I do send them rakhi and here at home, I do pooja and all for them.
My girls would tie rakhi on their father’s hand just to celebrate the festival and everyone enjoy eating the sweets that I would make for the day.
Malai Ladoo is my favorite and very easy sweet and the best part is it has lots of protein too. So it’s a win-win for health and celebrations too.
Basic Ingredients for Malai Ladoo:
- First, Chenna-Chenna is curdled milk made after boiling and adding lemon juice in it.
- Heavy cream- Adds a nice creamy taste to the ladoo.
- Powdered sugar- For sweetness.
- Cardamom powder-Gives nice flavors.
- Saffron strands
- Pistachios
How to make Malai ladoo?
The process starts with heating up chenna and cream in a heavy bottom pan, stir and cook on low heat until it starts thickening.
After that add in powdered sugar, half of the chopped pistachios, cardamom powder, and saffron strands. Continue cooking on low until the mixture is thick and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
Slightly cool the mixture until it is comfortable to touch. Make small round balls from the mixture.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve ladoo as it is and as many as you would like.
