Khara (Means salted in Hindi ) Biscuit are Indian Spiced and salted biscuits often served with tea or coffee. So let’s start the recipe . Yum

Ingredients:
2 cup All purpose flour
2 tablespoon corn flour
1 cup butter
2/3 cup cold water
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon carom seeds
1/2 teaspoon peppercorn , crushed
1/2 teaspoon dried herbs (optional )

Method:
Take sifted flour, corn flour in a bowl . Add carom seeds , salt , dried herbs and peppercorn.

Add butter and mix well till it looks like bread crumbs.

Add water slowly and knead a smooth dough. Wrap it in a cling film and allow it to rest for 1/2 an hour.

Sprinkle some dry flour on a flat screen and roll a 1/4 inch thick circle or rectangle.

Cut pieces of desired shape with pizza cutter.

Dust the baking tray with dry flour and arrange the pieces over it.

Bake at 200 degree for 20 minutes or till golden and crispy , flip the sides once after 10 minutes .

Serve with tea or coffee.

Serve 4-5. Baking time. 20-25 minutes

Notes : I have forgot to use dried herbs but its recommended to use to enhance the flavors.
