Tamilnadu a famous Indian Destination for its deep belief that serving food to others is a service to humanity . The region has a rich cuisine involving both traditional non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes with profound use of rice, legumes and lentils. Aroma and flavour of food of this region is a rich blending of flavourings and spices including curry leaves, mustard seeds, coriander, ginger, garlic, chili, pepper, cinnamon etc. Ellu Sadam is one such dish prepared with Ellu i.e. “Sesame seeds” and Sadam i.e. “Rice”. With the mild , earthy flavor of sesame seeds , nutty flavor of peanuts and cashew nuts along with spices and curry leaves this one pot meal is an authentic preparation to enjoy with family. This is going to be my dish with alphabet “E” under Regional Cuisine. So let’s start the recipe . Yum
