Navratri Saatvik thali recipes continued for the second day and I made a healthy and filling meal including buckwheat khichdi, pumpkin sabzi, aloo raita, chips, and sesame chikki.
These are all the nine days nine thali recipe that I dis last Navrati. So many people asked me for the recipes that I posted on Instagram. Luckily I had the thali recipe pictures saved somewhere on the laptop and so here I am posting them for nine days.
I am cooking Saatvik dishes this Navratri from today onwards too but it takes so many efforts and time to take pictures while everyone is waiting for the food. That’s why I thought of using last Navratri’s pictures to continue this series.

Buckwheat Groats Khichdi (Recipe Below)

Buckwheat Khichdi
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups buckwheat groats
- 1 green chilli, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon rock salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala, optional
- 1/2 teaspoon amchoor powder
- 1/4 cup coriander leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 2 tablespoon ghee/clarified butter
- water as required
Instructions
- Wash and soak the buckwheat groats in 2 cups water for about 20 minutes.
- Cook in 2 cups of water for about 20 minutes. Drain the excess water and set aside.
- In a pan dry roast the peanuts until roasted. Remove and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add ghee, cumin seeds, and ginger and saute for a minute.Add green chillies, salt, coriander powder, amchoor and garam masala.
- Stir and add roasted peanuts and cooked buckwheats groats. Mix well and let it cook for 2-3 minutes more.
- Serve warm and enjoy.

After reading your day 1 post, I was totally awed how you would manage to cook, click and post everyday. Having pictures already makes the task a lot easier. This another filling thali!
A fariyali thali is interesting , and motivates me to cook such Satvik food .
