Curried Jasmine Rice

Curried Jasmine Rice, a flavorful and aromatic one pot dish that you would want to eat more and more. Jasmine rice is one of the aromatic rice and taste wonderful in one pot dishes.This curried rice is made with vegetables and Madras curry powder that took the flavors of the rice to another level.

Last month I got free samples of Royal Jasmine rice and Brown rice. Since then I was looking for some recipes to use the rice and after a lot of searching found this one interesting. I followed the recipe to the T but replaced the brown rice with Jasmine rice. The dish was a hit in the house and I got lots of praise from them.

Ingredients:

1 cup royal jasmine rice
1 onion,chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garam masala
2 teaspoon madras curry powder
salt to taste
1 cup vegetables,chopped (carrot,beans,peas,corn,capsicum)
1/4 cup tomato paste
2 cups water
2 tablespoon olive oil

Method:
Heat oil in a pan .Add onions and saute for a minutes.
Add in chopped vegetables,paprika,salt,cumin,garam masala and curry powder.
Cook for a minute.Add tomato paste,stir and add water.
Cook covered until rice are done.Remove from heat and serve hot.

Enjoy!!

Serve- 2 Cooking time-20 minutes
