Besan Paratha

Most of the recipe in the blog came from my childhood secret diary..But in my recipe collection a lot of recipe comes from my mother-in-law. She always told me her way of cooking and which is why I learned so much about cooking.
Paratha are whole wheat Indian flat bread and can be made plain or stuffed with fillings.When nothing left in kitchen try this simple and quick also healthy recipe.

Ingredients:
2 cup gram flour
1 cup heat flour
Dry flour to roll
1 cup onion,chopped
1 green chilly,chopped
a handful coriander leaves,chopped
2 tablespoon butter or any oil
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon caraway seeds/ajwain
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
Water as needed

Method:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and knead soft dough using appropriate quantity of warter.Cover the bowl with wet kitchen towel to avoid hardening.
Heat a non stick pan and spread some oil over it.
Divide the dough into 5 equal parts. Roll the dough into about 3 inch diameter circles. Spread about 2 drops of oil and fold into two again .
Roll the patty in dry whole-wheat flour. Press it a little and start rolling on a clean surface to about 6 inches in diameter.
Place the Paratha over the Non stick pan.When you see the color change and the paratha will puff in different places. Turn the paratha over.
The paratha should have golden-brown spots. Wait a few seconds and put about 1/2 teaspoon of oil and spread with a spatula.
Flip the paratha and lightly press the puffed areas of the paratha with a spatula that will help paratha to puff up.
Flip again and press with the spatula making sure the paratha is golden-brown on both sides.

Serve hot with a knob of butter on top or any curry or with tea.

Serve-2. Cooking time-20 minutes
