Seriously who doesn’t like Poori Aloo , I bet everyone loves this classic combo to enjoy as breakfast or in lunch as main course . And if there is some pickle and raita on the side then no need of envy thing else . This is a marvelous combo to enjoy on weekends and indulge yourself in heavenly taste. So let’s start the recipe . Yum

Ingredients:
4 potatoes , boiled and cut in cubes
1 onion , chopped
2 teaspoon ginger, grated or chopped
3-4 green chillies , chopped
8-10 curry leaves
Few coriander leaves , chopped
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
A pinch asefetida
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
3 tablespoon cooking oil
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice.
Method:

For Batata Bhaji
Heat oil in a pan , add Asefetida , cumin and mustard seeds. Let the seeds crackle and then add onion , ginger , curry leaves and green chillies.
Sauté till onion is translucent an then add salt and turmeric powder. Mix well and add cubed potatoes and coriander leaves.
Add 1/2 cup water and let it cook for 5-7 minutes till water evaporates and potatoes cooked well.
Add lemon juice , mix well and remove from heat.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with Poori.
Enjoy !!
Serve-3. Cooking time -20minutes
Note: You may add red chilly if want the bhaji to be a bit more spicy.
