Pasta , traditionally belongs to Italian cuisine is versatile in use and nowadays everyone’s favorite. Generally pasta are made with pasta sauce like white sauce, cheese sauce etc.Being a Punjabi ,my husband told me to give it a Punjabi tadka touch so I tried with my spices and aromatics .My family liked it so much and it was a hit on every weekend.So let’s start the recipe .yum
Pasta -250 g
Tomato purée-1 cup
Onion -garlic paste-1/2 cup
Green chilly paste-1 tsp
Peas-1/2 cup
Spices to be mixed together
Salt to taste
Red chilly powder-1 tsp
Oregano -1 tsp
Pepper corn powder-1 tsp
Olive oil-2 tbsp
Method:
Boil plenty of water in a vessel ,add pasta and 1/2 tsp oil.Cook till pasta are a little tender.Drain excess water in a colander ( keep 2 tbsp of this water or further use).
Heat olive oil in a pan ,add onion- garlic paste. Saute for 5 minutes till brownish in color.
Add peas and spices which were mixed together.
Add tomato purée and chilly paste. Sauté and cook till oil comes out from edges.
Add pasta and 2 tbsp of pasta water.Cook for 5 minutes.
Mix well and transfer to serving plate.
Serve-2. Cooking time-30 minutes
