Green Peas Paratha-Spicy and delicious green peas paratha would make a perfectly healthy breakfast when served with tea or scrumptious lunch when paired with any side dish.
Green peas paratha and masala chai were our breakfast today. With kids at home during summer break, every day is a task to think about what to cook from breakfast to dinner.
Girls want something different to eat every day and I have to come up with new recipes for breakfast. Gone are the days when they used to be happy with milk and cereal, now is the time to linger their tastebuds with tasty food.
How to make Green Peas Paratha
There are two ways to make the green peas paratha. One is to simply pulse the green peas in the blender with some water, make a puree and knead the dough using it.
I prefer making the green peas paratha with slightly cooked green peas. By doing so the raw smell of peas goes away and paratha tastes really nice. For that, I slightly parboil the green peas, make the puree and then saute it again before adding in the flour.
Make it, either way, paratha tastes absolutely amazing. All you need is a cup of tea and voila breakfast is ready to serve.
How to store the Green Peas Paratha
You can store the paratha at room temperature for a day but if you wish to store the paratha for longer then you can freeze them up to a month. To do the same simply cook the parathas, let them cool and store in zip lock bags. Use a parchment paper in between two parathas to avoid sticking.
When you wish to eat for breakfast, simply thaw the parathas in the refrigerator a night before and cook on hot tava for few minutes. Serve and enjoy.
