For the second day of BM#49 third week ,I made eggless almond biscotti from the list of desserts.It was almost night when I finished baking them so I couldn’t get good pictures .These biscotti were gone the same day I made and I got good remarks from my family.They loved these crisp outside and soft inside biscottis and this recipe is surely a keeper for me.So let’s start the recipe.yum

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
6 tablespoon applesauce
2 tablespoon canola oil
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon lime zest
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3/4 cup whole almonds
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees for 15 minutes.Line a baking sheet with foil or baking paper.
In a bowl ,add flour ,baking soda and salt ,applesauce,sugar ,vanilla extract ,almond extract,lime zest and oil.Mix until everything is well combined.
Rub some flour in hands and shape the dough into a log and transfer it on baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes or until light brown in color.Remove from oven and let it cool for 20 minutes.
Using a sharp knife cut the log into 1/2 inch slices .
Preheat oven to 160 degrees and bake the slices again for 10 minutes from each side.
Remove from oven ,cool and store in airtight container for 2-3 weeks .
Serve with coffee or tea.
Serve-12 pieces. Baking time-30-40 minutes
