I don't cook kohlrabi but am sure you get this in regular stores. I do not remember where I have seen these but have seen them many times in stores. I never really paid attention as I don't use it in my cooking.
Wow, this olkopir dalna looks prefect to enjoy thoroughly with some rotis. Lovely pick for O Sapana.
Nice pick for O. I have very rarely cooked with this vegetable though it goes very well in kurma. Nice way of making this dish.
The curry looks so delicious. Perfect side for rotis..
Sapna, I think you can find kohlrabi in any American store too but I am not sure about Florida though. I have lived in Florida for a brief period but I wasn't much impressed considering that the Chicago suburbs I live in is like mini India at least with the grocers/restaurants wise. ☺
I am a big fan of kohlrabi too and loving this version of dalna.
Love those wonderful color combination and the set up. I always prepare kootu or grated curry or kurma with kohalbari. This is a must try recipe.
Looks very flavorful and I am sure it will go well rotis.
We get them in American grocery stores in PA Sapana, dalna looks flavorful and delicious 🙂
Perfect choice for O Sapana!! Loved the chic bowl 🙂
They are usually available in farmers markets Sapana. I cook with it rarely but I see them quite often. This Bengali curry looks delicious.
never knew kohlrabi was used in Indian cooking – I buy all the time and usually just grate into salads – going to have to try one of the Indian recipes using this veggie now
American stores carry kohlrabi in abundance here as well. Lovely recipe with the vegetable. I have myself not cooked much with it.
Do you must peel the skin?
We can leave the peel intact if kohlrabi is fresh, sometimes it is old and the peel becomes slightly hard in that case we should remove it.
