Instant Carrot Halwa-A quick and easy carrot halwa loaded with dried fruits and nuts. This is the easiest way to enjoy the most humble dessert of North India.
I love carrot halwa and frankly, it is my one and only favorite sweet dish. Back in India, we used to make carrot halwa with almost 8-10 kg of carrot at one time in very big woks.
It would take at least half a day to make halwa with that much amount of carrots and then we would relish it for at least 10 days or so.
After moving here I completely stopped making carrot halwa just because I did not have had big vessels to make it in bulk. I don’t know why I think it is worthless to make halwa if not in large amount.
Anyways so this is the first time I made this quick carrot halwa with 2 kg carrots and milk cream in the pressure cooker and it came out just as amazing as the one with khoya.
Although it was finished on the same day but I am glad I did try carrot halwa after a very long time. Once you finish peeling and grating the carrots, it sure is the quickest and easiest way to make carrot halwa.

The pressure cooker eliminates the need to stir the cooking carrots. This is a great shortcut to an all time favorite dessert recipe.
