Carrot Burfi

For the third week of BM#43 , my theme is festival recipes . I am making recipes for Shri Krishna Janamashtami and for the first day I made carrot burfi from here.So let’s start the recipe .yum


Ingredients:
1 cup carrot,grated
1/2 cup gram flour/besan
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup clarified butter
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
Few almonds,chopped

Method:
Make a paste of grated carrot with milk in blender.
Heat a non stick pan and add gram flour , sugar and carrot milk paste.
Stir on medium flame adding clarified butter in between side by side.
At one point it will start bubbling and form a mass.Stir continuously taking care not to burn it.Add cardamom powder and mix well.
Grease a tray and transfer the carrot mixture in it. Flatten the top with spatula and sprinkle sliced almonds.
Cool and cut into desired shapes.

Store in air tight container and serve .

Enjoy!!

Serve-15-20 pieces. Cooking time-30 minutes
