I Know I am a bit crazy as yesterday I had posted recipe for a smoothie and today I am sharing recipe of a hot hot soup.But I can’t stop myself for being nostalgic for this soup.Spinach was lying in my fridge and I have to make this most comforting soup before it get spoiled.The secret. recipe of this heavenly soup was adapted from my father in law.He is a great cook especially for non veg dishes But this soup is one of his outstanding invention that I liked it so much.The main important thing is that you can enjoy theveggies left in the soup too ,if you liked to. Ok enough with soup story let’s just start the recipe.yum
Ingredients:
For Soup
10 spinach leaves
8-10 okra (cut into two pieces)
1/4 cup peas
1/2 cup roughly chopped tomato
1 garlic clove
1 ginger (small piece )
1/4 cup roughly chopped carrots (optional)
1 tablespoon rice
Salt to taste
1/2 pinch turmeric powder
1.5 liter water
For Seasoning
2 tablespoon lime juice
1 teaspoon freshly cracked peppercorn
1 tablespoon clarified butter or plain butter
Method:
Boil 1.5 liter water in a vessel and add all ingredients for soup in it. Let it cook on simmer for half an hour till all juices from vegetables extracted in water.
Remove from heat and pour in serving bowl.Add lemon juice, peppercorn powder and clarified butter before serving.
Serve-3. Cooking time 30-40 minutes
