Mushroom Phyllo Pockets

For the last week of this month’s CCChallenge I prepared this simple and tatsy snack from the package of Phyllo sheets. I have just a little tweaked the recipe as per our taste and bingo! There you go. So let’s start the recipe . Yum

Ingredients:
1 cup mushrooms, chopped
1/4 cup peas
1/4 cup carrot, chopped
1 celery stick , chopped
1/4 cup spring onion, chopped
1/4 cup onion , chopped
1 teaspoon red Chilli flakes
1 teaspoon peppercorn , ground
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon jalapeño , chopped
2 tablespoon butter+extra for brushing
1 packet phyllo sheets

Method:
Thaw and prepare phyllo sheets as per packet instructions.
Heat butter in a pan , add onion and sauté it.
Now add peas , carrot and celery and cook till a little tender.
Add salt , red chilly and pepper and mix well.
Add chopped mushrooms and jalapeños and stir. Finally add oregano and basil and cook till moisture dried from mushrooms, remove from heat.
Brush phyllo sheets with butter and cut in square or triangle shape.
Place filling in the center , pour some ketchup over it and wrap from all sides to form pockets.
Bake in preheat oven at 180 degree for 20 minutes or till brown from top.

Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Serve-6. Baking time -20 minutes:

  1. Love phyllo munchies anytime! If you've a few extra, do try baklava 🙂 I've posted it before…

And these looks yummy… I can grab a plate and gobble up all 😛
