A very healthy and tasty energy balls made with homemade chocolate hazelnut butter, a combination of four super seeds and almonds. These energy balls are super addictive and very nutritious.
1cupchocolate hazelnut butter,homemade or store bought
2cupsrolled oats
1cupsuper seeds,I used chia, pumpkin, flax and sunflower seeds
1/4cuphoney
1/2cupalmonds
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350° F and roast rolled oats for 5 minutes.
Pulse almonds into a coarse powder. Into a mixing bowl add hazelnut butter, rolled oats, super seeds and honey.
Stir in vanilla extract and almond powder and mix well until combined.
Make small or medium round balls from the mixture and arrange them on the prepared baking tray.
Let the energy balls rest in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before serving.
Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Store the energy balls in an airtight jar and in the refrigerator.You may store these at room temperature if the weather is not warm.Feel free to add your choice of seeds and or nuts.
